The Last of Us suggests a fictional graphics card.
I found the PC specs for the final installment of the game and noticed something unusual. The suggested AMD graphics card options are the Rx 6600 XT and the RX 5800XT. However, the Radeon 5800XT isn’t available. There’s an AMD 5800XT CPU, but according to all the sources I checked, their GPU lineup ends at the 5700XT. Both Steam and tech power-ups confirm it’s the 5700XT, which makes this seem more like a marketing mix-up than a serious issue. It seems like there might have been a mistake in the text. Things can happen, and I won’t go into too much detail beyond that. It’ll be fun to see how it performs once it’s available on PC. Sony’s PC ports have been really solid for the games I’ve tried, so it looks promising. Just hope they don’t price this one too high for a 10-year-old title.
Sony ports function smoothly on Steam Deck and appear to enhance performance, which is intriguing since they treat it similarly to a Vita version. Their connections also perform better on AMD hardware, particularly older RDNA chips, compared to NVIDIA options. Both Spiderman and GoW play nicely on these setups.
I haven't played GoW yet, but I’ve got a solid collection to work through. It really works well on the 6900 XT. I’m not a big PlayStation fan—my gaming history is mostly Xbox and Nintendo titles. Still, I respect Sony for making their games work smoothly on PC, even if it’s a bit of a marketing push. I think it’s clever to target PC fans with exclusives, then wait 2-3 years before releasing sequels. That way, you can enjoy titles like GoW and The Last of Us on PC without needing a console or a controller you don’t like. I still value it because it lets me play some amazing AAA games eventually.
