The laptop's screen remains at maximum brightness.
I just woke up and my laptop is stuck at maximum brightness. It wasn’t dropped or damaged. The volume controls function, but the brightness slider doesn’t respond. The slider works when it should, but it doesn’t adjust the brightness. Model: ASUS Q408UG. I tried reinstalling drivers, reformatting, and reinstalling again. Hope there’s a solution besides using shades.
Adjust your display settings in UEFI. This suggests Windows might be the issue. You can also test it on Linux if you have it installed.
You can adjust the brightness by modifying the display settings in your application or operating system. Refer to the specific guidelines for your platform.
I'm not sure. Do the brightness controls function in the BIOS? Are there any intriguing buttons or knobs to discover inside the BIOS?
I checked the bios, but there were no options to modify brightness.
