The laptop RAM slot B is no longer functioning properly following the installation of new RAM.
My Samsung RV510's RAM slot B stopped working after installing the new RAM with a higher clock speed and module (from 2GB to 4GB). The laptop won't boot now. I tried putting the original RAMs back in, but it still wouldn't start. When I removed the RAM from slot B, the laptop booted up. This means any RAM placed in slot B won't work. Do you have a solution?
What stick of ram are you working with? If you can't find them off the www, please share the stickered info on the side of the stick of ram. Did you make sure you were on the latest BIOS version prior to upgrading your ram? Have you inspected the ram slot for any bent pins?
