I’m experiencing this problem often now—my "Asus ROG Strix G15" briefly stutters for a second before returning to normal operation. It varies in timing and can occur while playing games, watching videos, or even when idle. The biggest worry is during gameplay: the game freezes for about two minutes while I’m in the middle of it, then restarts. The laptop seems unaffected, but the experience disrupts all my gaming sessions and Discord chats.

Recently, I switched from wired HyperX Stinger Core to wireless Logitech G Pro X2 headphones. I noticed that freezing and reconnection issues only appear with the wireless setup. With wired headsets it happens occasionally, but it’s more pronounced—especially after about two seconds of stuttering.

With the wireless version, the audio drops at 2.4GHz when the laptop lags, requiring me to toggle the headphones on and off. Then the game freezes, the Discord drops, and I’m suddenly back in the middle of a match while teammates comment about being offline. After a few minutes (roughly an hour in Valorant), it usually recovers.

I’ve updated Windows several times, tried restoring older versions, reinstalled NVIDIA drivers, updated the graphics app, and even re-paired the headphones. Still, the problem persists. Could you offer some guidance?

Do you have the Evil app installation ready? (armoury crate) If yes, turn it off in BIOS. Get the uninstaller from Asus here: https://www.asus.com/supportonly/armoury crate/helpdesk_download/

Sure! Just let me know what you'd like to discuss about the app and your experience.

Allows Asus to link via a port and refresh drivers and firmware. The issue is that it often slows down your device. On the boards I've tried—X470 and Z390—it reduces performance and causes odd input delays. It can also cause driver failures. Uncertain if this is linked to Armoury crate or if updates with Armory interfere. In any case, turn off automatic driver setup in Windows and remove GPU drivers using DDU. Also, disable driver installs from Windows Update since it blocks GPU driver updates too.
