Bought a laptop of aliexpress for like, 350 bucks, because it had a gtx 1060 in it. Got it, played some games, and noticed how strange some things were. Cs2 ran horribly, even at the lowest settings and demanded newer drivers. Helldivers 2 doesn't run properly, Rdr2 ran fine, but had some issues, and other games lacked proper directx support. So I tried to install newer drivers then the ones that came with the laptop but they didn't recognise the gpu. Opened it up to see what it was packing, and yet, it is a nvidia gpu. So I've spent a couple of weeks puzzling this mystery together, but still can't really figure this out. Chatgpt says it might be a engineering sample for a quadro card? Other dudes on my national tech forum said that it might be some kind of engineering sample, but were mostly as puzzled as I was. I'm gonna link a few pictures and hope that some software engineer or just some smart folks can help me out here. Thanks in advance, I'll be as active as I can.

They claimed otherwise, but it seems to be a Quadro P2000 running roughly 22% slower than a 1060 Mobile. With only two-thirds the VRAM and 75W TDP, it matches more closely to a 1050 Ti Mobile. The screenshot suggests they may have further limited performance with just two PCIe lanes. Searching the chip ID reveals bare dies and no heat spreader—hard to say where they obtained it.
