Hey, I see the issue with your Dell Inspiron 5577. It keeps showing a blue screen at least twice a day, regardless of whether you're idle or using the PC. You were told to try BluescreenView and it should read the .dmp files, but you're not sure how to proceed. Could you share the screenshot or more details about the error messages? Let me know how I can assist further!
It appears the problem originated from nvlddmkm.sys, a component from Nvidia. Have you recently updated your GPU driver or attempted overclocking? Issues began on March 5th, and if you haven't made any changes yourself, your GPU might be faulty. It could also relate to RAM, but the consistent cause suggests a GPU issue rather than just memory problems. You might try these steps: 1) Use DDU to reset your display drivers and install the newest ones. 2) If that fails, restart DDU and install a driver from a previous year or revert to the driver you had before. 3) If possible, physically remove one RAM stick and run the laptop normally for a day or two to see if it crashes again. If it only uses one RAM stick, skip this step.
I refreshed the drivers on 4/03/2023, yet the initial crashes started on the 3rd. I don’t understand why they aren’t appearing in the dump. I installed the drivers via GeForce Experience at the end of February and then re-downloaded them from NVIDIA’s site a few days later. Would it help if you removed the old drivers and re-applied them? I haven’t attempted overclocking, so I’m unsure how it would affect things.
Definitely try getting rid of the current drivers and get the previous ones. If that doesn't work, you may very well have a faulty GPU. Meaning a hardware issue. If that's the case, there's not much you can do. There's always the possibility of a borked OS, so that could be one of the next step you can take later on.
Sure, I can help with that. What method are you looking into for retrieving previous drivers?
