The laptop fails to start following the RAM and SSD upgrade.
Hi guys, just got a new 8gb ram ddr3l and 256 gb ssd for my hp ac134tu. I opened the case and switched everything in. Friendly reminder, there are only one slot for ram and one for the drive. Did I skip any steps before switching? It won’t start now. I tried re-switching to the old ones but it’s still stuck 🥺 Anyone can help me fix this quickly since I have an online class right now 🤕🤕🤕
Ensure all cables are securely connected to the motherboard and confirm there is no damage from opening it. Disconnect the old components, unplug the CMOS and main battery, and hold the power button for roughly 30 seconds. Reconnect the batteries and check if the system powers on.

What is the make and model of your RAM stick, both the original one with the laptop and the replacement you're considering? Which BIOS version is active on your laptop? You can test the older RAM by connecting it to the laptop and checking the BIOS section via CPU-Z. Try disconnecting from the power source, removing the battery, and holding the power button for 30 seconds before trying again. For the SSD, you'll need a bootable USB installer ready once you've installed the new drive.
