I recently acquired a used PC (still under warranty) with one SSD and one HDD. The SSD health was flagged as warning, so I transferred the SSD to my laptop and the HDD to my desktop. Now I'm trying to reinstall Windows on my laptop, but I encountered some issues: initially, I received the error code 0xc0000225. After moving the HDD to my laptop, I noticed it was affecting performance. Now I only have the SSD in my laptop, but I'm seeing a message saying "checking media presence" and eventually it prompts me to reboot and select the correct boot devices or insert a bootable USB. I have a bootable USB, but I can't access the BIOS and set the boot device. Normally, I use F4 to enter BIOS, but it doesn't work. Once I reboot, the laptop freezes and won't respond. Could someone assist me with this? Thank you.

No, the UEFI/laptop did not have a prior Windows 8 installation.

It seems like you're facing an issue. You might need to install Windows 10 on the SSD using a different machine.

Set up Windows 10 on an extra laptop if available, install the SSD, ensure booting into Windows 10 is possible, and you’re ready to use it.

You're asking about the purpose of needing a second laptop. It could be for backup, different tasks, or personal preference. Let me know if you want to clarify!

You can highlight your achievements and contributions in the bios section. Consider adding a brief summary of your skills, impact, or goals to make it more engaging for viewers.

I appeared in the bios, restarted and a Windows boot manager emerged, now I'm reinstalling to Windows 8 using my CDs.
