The laptop fails to boot when using the newly installed RAM.
I put in my new 2x 16GB RAM, but the laptop won't start. It seems odd since using the old 8GB model with one of the new 16GB units works fine, yet switching to 24GB RAM brings it back online. I looked up online and saw the maximum is 32GB, but that doesn’t match what’s happening.
I'm referring to a specific laptop model along with its exact RAM modules. Have you verified each new RAM stick individually to confirm compatibility?
16GB RAM at 3200MHz (PC4-25600) using DDR4 CL22 SODIMM. It requires installation of an older RAM module to boot properly.
What model is it? It helps to know, since checking RAM compatibility is important.
