the laptop functions well until yesterday when I was playing Astroneer and needed to leave. I sealed the case after saving my game and believe it didn't shut down correctly? After an hour I returned and found the battery was depleted. When I recharged it, games started lagging. I tested this with a few non-steam titles as well. Performance remains consistent whether powered on or on battery, though the screen dims slightly when unplugged and brightens up after plugging back in. In Task Manager, each game spikes GPU usage to 95-100% (that's typical), temperatures are normal. I tried running other apps in the background but it didn't help. Usually YouTube and similar apps run smoothly without issues. I'm seeing around 20-30 fps now compared to the previous 100+ fps. I've checked power plans, advanced settings, and graphic options—all set to high performance. Restarted and restarted the laptop multiple times. Charged fully, played while charging or on battery, updated Windows and drivers. I don't use an external monitor, but that's how I've been playing for a while. Storage isn't full (SSD).
