I’m working with an Asus Tuf A15. The issue started recently; I looked up possible causes online. Many suggested forcing a shutdown, but that didn’t happen here. My Asus recommended updating the BIOS via asus ez flash util, though some warn updates can cause more problems than fixes. What should I do?

keeping the bios updated is safe as long as you're careful with your habits. If you think there might be a technical issue, try checking the smart status with crystaldiskinfo. It could also be that a driver caused problems during shutdown—make sure all drivers are up to date, including the bios. You might want to run a system check using sfc /scannow. Also, consider if any new software was installed recently, such as antivirus tools or health scanners.

I attempted everything, updated all settings, verified the command prompt, confirmed the smart status—everything seems normal. Still, the issue remains. A picture of the CrystaldiskInfo shows the problem. I forced a shutdown several times because the PC would freeze. It was only a few months ago that I didn’t install any antivirus or health check tools, and the only recent update was EpicGame. I’m not sure if that’s the cause.
