The keyboard stopped responding after using the Windows key + L to lock the system.
I own a fresh PC equipped with a new Razer BlackWidow V4 keyboard. When I lock the system (Windows key + L) and try to re-enter my PIN, the keyboard stops working after just one or two key presses. If I switch on the on-screen keyboard using the mouse, entering the PIN works temporarily. Once I return to Windows and go into any text input field, the "d" key keeps firing rapidly until I hit a key. After that, the keyboard functions normally and hasn’t shown other issues.
I’ve tested various USB connections. I’ve also adjusted settings so the keyboard and ports aren’t suspended. The only temporary fix is moving the keyboard to another USB port while the PC is running. Once locked, it becomes responsive again when I press a key to unlock it, letting me enter my PIN. After restarting, it goes back to being unresponsive after a lock, then repeats the "d" key action when I navigate to text fields (as it did in that field after locking).
I’m considering trying this keyboard on another PC or laptop to confirm if the problem lies with the hardware itself. I’m somewhat concerned about the Razer Synapse software (currently beta), as it seems to align with the issue of becoming unresponsive after PIN entry.
If anyone has experienced similar problems, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Likely that the Razor Synapse software was buggy, corrupted, or conflicting in some manner.
You could test that by manually downloading, installing, and configuring Synapse directly from Razor.
(Note: just because "Razor" or "Synapse" appear in the URL does not mean that the site is truly Razor.)
However, if the keyboard is working well and there is no explicit requirement for Synaspe then just do not install Synapse.
