My laptop's keyboard has been acting up for a while now. Some of the keys don't work. I've tried cleaning the keyboard and needed clarification on whether it's a software or hardware issue.

Verify functionality of the keys during BIOS operation in minimal settings. If they remain unresponsive in BIOS, the keyboard probably requires replacement.

Certain keys function differently, similar to the space bar, r, t, a, etc. Initially, only the r and t keys were unresponsive. Over time, additional keys ceased working. I attempted to lock and unlock the Windows key, which temporarily resolved the issue for a few days. Eventually, the problem returned.
