It seems your laptop keyboard stopped functioning suddenly. When you left-click with the mouse, it would delete everything you clicked, sending files to the Recycle Bin. After connecting a USB keyboard and mouse, Device Manager reported removal issues, suggesting more than just a power problem. I found reports of similar cases where computers began deleting files. I tried reseating the ribbon cable after using contact spray, but it didn’t help. The power button appears to be part of the keyboard itself, while the rest is controlled by a chip—possibly the issue lies with that chip. Interestingly, when you put the computer to sleep and type random characters, the system registered keypresses during login. This could indicate a controller chip failure. A replacement might be necessary, especially a Nordic model, which is the most expensive option available. I located one at a UK store for 29,10€ total, including all costs. The keyboard connection method isn’t clear—I’m unsure about attachment details or replacement steps.
