The issue won't start up and needs to reset the CMOS.
Hey there, I've encountered a tricky situation with my new AM5 build. The system runs smoothly once, but I have to repeatedly press the power button to start it up. There are no diagnostic lights, and it boots every time I clear the CMOS. However, when I turn it off and let it rest, it comes back to needing the power button. It also launches correctly after a restart and works fine while running. It might have started with a BIOS update—since I booted twice without flashing the BIOS, then updated it and tried again, but the issue persisted on older BIOS versions. The hardware specs are: case, PSU, cooler—NR200P, max CPU Ryzen 7 7800X3D, M.2 slot, MSI B650i Edge ITX, RAM G.Skill FlairX5 6000 CL32 AMD Expo, and an MSI RTX 4070 VENTUS X2 GPU. I've tried unplugging the GPU, using stock RAM speeds, connecting the display to the motherboard, re-flashing the BIOS with a fresh download and USB format. Let it sit for about 30 minutes after clearing CMOS to see if the memory stabilizes. After reconnecting the PSU power cable, only clear CMOS or force-cycle the power button seems to work. Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated. All components are under a week old. Cheers, Baccybueg
