EVGA isn't concerned about second-hand purchases. That's why it's disappointing they no longer produce GPUs. You should be able to log in to EVGA and enter a serial number to review the status.

Used to have an issue where my MB led wouldn't work with other devices. After trying various fixes, the fix came from unplugging the power cable from the PSU, turning on the power button a few times, and then reconnecting it. It resolved the problem for me.
