Hello,
Upon pressing the power button on Windows 10 or using the case button, the system halts video output while peripherals cease functioning, but fans and internal parts remain active.

attempted resetting the BIOS to defaults might cause a communication issue between Windows and the BIOS. Updating the chipset drivers could assist.

New build?
There might be an oversight or missing detail regarding the internal connections. Particularly in this situation.
Question: Why is the physical case button chosen over the Windows Power icon for shutting down the PC? Physically turning it off can lead to file corruption and further complications.

I thought the same, but it appears the power button on the case and the Windows power button function identically -

It still relies on how long you press the physical button - holding it too long can trigger a hard shutdown.
