I’m really stressed right now. My hard drive won’t wipe because the system settings are stuck, and I’m worried this virus might be serious. When I try to delete it, Windows says it ran into an issue and restarted. My dad is really worried about me! Can you help me fix this?

The trial version of Bitdefender Total Security performed well in eliminating a virus from my .exe files.

Caps lock violates the CoC policy. Please be aware. Use msconfig and disable unnecessary startup items. It might be a corrupted file rather than malware.

I accidentally turned off all startup features and saw three programs listed as running at startup, but disabling them didn’t make a difference.

You can still erase your HDD even when the system is in a suspended state. Try using a bootable recovery tool or a disk imaging utility to create a backup before proceeding.

I put it in, but the Task Manager shows around ten running and Bitdefender says everything is fine.
