The issue with Google Chrome not signing me in after a restart has been resolved.
Hello, everyone!
I recently installed a new computer and here are the details:
Memory: MSI Z790 Tomahawk WiFi (latest BIOS via USB flashback)
Processor: Intel i5-14600KF + Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE
Graphics: Gigabyte RTX 4070
RAM: 32GB Kingston FURY DDR5 6000MHz CL30 (XMP)
Storage: WD 2TB SN850X M.2 + 2TB WD Black HDD
Power Supply: Seasonic Focus GX 750W Gold (used for 5 years)
Operating System: Windows 10
I encountered some BSOD issues, which were partly due to my Razer Basilisk V3 mouse and its quirky software plus .sys files.
One BSOD happened while using Chrome, and since then I often lose access to random websites (like Yahoo mail, Facebook, Reddit...).
It doesn’t happen when I’m actively using it, just after a restart or when the PC is turned on again.
Sometimes it wipes out my logged-in sessions, as Facebook appears to forget my profile picture, and YouTube keeps reverting to its default theme.
It’s worth noting that it retains zoom and volume settings across all sites, which is confusing.
I’ve tried removing Chrome with Revo Uninstaller, resetting my profile, clearing Chrome, disabling and reinstalling extensions, deleting the entire Sync folder, turning it off completely, and even reinstalling Windows.
Same results occurred.
After that, I reinstalled Windows and experienced another BSOD before resolving the mouse-related problems.
Chrome worked briefly for a couple of days, but the issue resurfaced.
Before sharing this, I used Revo Uninstaller, manually searched for and deleted all Chrome files—regardless of size or location (folders, registry entries, IOBit Unlocker, Windows Prefetch folder, DNS reset, winsock reset, filepage.sys).
I restarted my PC several times and reinstalled Chrome, hoping for a fix.
Additional notes:
- Before the BSODs, Chrome would sometimes fail to download files despite a stable connection.
- Facebook remembers about 15 of my logins, possibly because it can’t recall browser details.
- Firefox is functioning perfectly, and the Messenger app prompted me to sync messages a few times (it was reinstalled too).
- Chrome works flawlessly on my smartphone, with everything synced without problems.
- Active extensions: Google Docs Offline, Grammarly, YouTube Dislikes, uBlock Origins Lite, and YouTube Row Fixer (currently disabled).
Any suggestions on what might be causing this or how to resolve it?
EDIT: After deleting all extensions and restarting my PC shortly, I tried Chrome again—this time it even logged me out of YouTube for the first time, changing the theme from Dark to Default.
Check Reliability History/Monitor and Event Viewer for any errors, warnings, or informational events recorded just before or during the "signouts". Repeat the same for the noted BSODs. Examine Task Manager > Startup and Task Scheduler for any unfamiliar or unexpected applications launching at startup or triggered via Task Scheduler. Determine the make and model of the router (or modem/router if combined). If logs are available and enabled, they might provide useful insights. Identify the individual with full administrative privileges on the router; assistance will be required from them.

Reliability History shows the BSODs that happened on 1st of May, after which Chrome started behaving like this. Here is the link to all of the logs I put in a text document:

BSODs were caused by my Razer mouse, even though it says my GPU crashed. After I dealt with my mouse, I have had no more BSODs or crashes, just these issues with Chrome.
The last BSOD happened while I tried to make a Windows image backup to my external hard drive, when I saw my USB devices disconnecting, so a guy from this forum helped me narrow it down to the Razer mouse, that is, its software and files.
It's a freshly installed Windows, so there are no unknown, unexpected, or problematic apps in my startup, nor anywhere else.
Unfortunately, the logs on my router are disabled, I tried restarting it and flushing DNS, refreshing Windows certificates, starting/restarting certain services, all to no avail.
Here's something interesting from Chrome's log, does it help?

Solution Found by Reinstalling Windows
Information - Chrome penetrated deeply into the system, making it difficult to remove all files using Revo Uninstaller, IOBitUnlocker, and Registrar. I also adjusted and reset policies, managed administrator privileges, addressed certificates, but nothing worked. Ultimately, my Windows installation was damaged, so I had to start from scratch.
