Many years ago, I spent over 800 hours immersed in Call of Duty 2. My in-game sensitivity setting was consistently 10.32. I utilized a mouse DPI of either 800 or 1000, with Windows sensitivity adjusted to a ratio of 6:11. Mouse enhancement software was turned off – this configuration felt ideal to me. However, recently I reinstalled COD 2 and replicated my previous settings, yet the sensitivity is now excessively rapid. Are there any explanations for this sudden change?
Verify whether “Improve pointer accuracy” is selected within the Windows Mouse Movement settings. If it is, deselect it. When this setting is activated, mouse acceleration will be applied; when it’s turned off, cursor movement corresponds directly to the amount you move your mouse.
