I consistently experience crashes in every game, typically displaying a “device disconnected” error or an “application hung” message. I’ve attempted to resolve this by performing a clean installation of my graphics drivers and reinstalling Windows several times. I recently upgraded my entire computer system to accommodate the 2070 purchased in May. Despite these efforts, including requesting a replacement (RMA) for the 2070 when it continued to exhibit this problem, the issue persists. Since May, I've been encountering these difficulties and now possess entirely new components without a resolution. The only unusual observation was last night when installing new RAM, I encountered no problems; however, upon turning on my PC today, the crashes have returned. I haven’t observed any Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) errors during these game freezes and exits to the desktop.

Specifications: AMD Ryzen 7 2700x, EVGA XC ultra RTX 2070, 16gb 2x8 G.skill Trident Z RGB 3200mhz, MSI b450 gaming plus ac itx motherboard, Samsung SSD 250gb & 1tb, EVGA supernova 650 watt gold plus certified PSU

Examine the Reliability History and Event Viewer for error messages and alerts aligning with the crash times. Verify proper driver installation. Obtain and set up the relevant drivers by visiting the manufacturer’s site directly.

Where can I locate the reliability history and event viewer to investigate these error codes, and what occurs when I discover them? I’ve repeatedly attempted installing the Nvidia drivers; are there alternative drivers I should consider? Thank you for your assistance.

Have any components been pushed beyond their normal speeds? Attempt testing with individual memory modules. Ensure proper PCI Express cables are utilized with the graphics card and that the power supply is connected correctly, avoiding repurposed cables from other sources or incorrect ports within the PSU.

The system isn't running at boosted speeds. The problem isn’t the memory, and I’ve employed two distinct PCIe cables provided by the power supply unit. Would switching to a single cable connected to the graphics card—which has an 8+6 pin configuration—resolve the issue?

Don’t worry about it, I use just one cord for my graphics card, and it’s likely more powerful than the one you have.

To troubleshoot, adjust your Windows power plan and disable PCIE link state power management. Experiment with tools like Afterburner to slightly reduce your card's clock speed, or utilize the NVIDIA control panel’s “Help” section for similar adjustments.

Unfortunately, neither of those choices were successful. Do you have any further ideas?

I recently attempted to play Forza after typically enjoying titles such as Battlefield V, Apex, and Fortnite. However, the game only ran for about two minutes before experiencing flickering on my display and white flashes, which subsequently caused my entire computer to freeze, requiring me to forcibly shut it down using the power button.
