I possess an i7 4790k with 4.8ghz base clock, 1 and 2 core at 4.7ghz, 4/all cores at 4.6ghz, all running at 1.3v. Cache sits around 4.2ghz @1.15v. My RAM is Patriot Viper III with 2x8GB DDR3, originally rated for 10-11-10-30 timings at 1866MHz and 1.5v. The CPU cooler uses a dark Rock Pro 4 with Arctic MX-4 paste. The motherboard is ASUS Z97-C, equipped with a 1000-5000rpm 60mm fan on the VRM. The power supply is a Thermaltake Toughpower GX2 80+ Gold 600W. My GPU is an EVGA RTX 2060 K Ultra featuring +100 cores and +700 memory. It comes with two Arctic P12 fans for cooling. The SSD is a Samsung 850 EVO 500GB (lasts ~42k hours), while the HDD is a WD Green 4TB (under 1000h runtime). I’m not using the newest Windows 10, as installing the latest version caused issues. Overall, my system performs well under stress and games, keeping temperatures near 95°C max and staying stable in tests. However, I’ve noticed it shutting down after gaming or heavy workloads—sometimes freezing completely or displaying a blurry uncorrectable error. This has happened during Fortnite sessions and ASUS Realbench runs, with temps spiking to 80°C on the CPU/GPU. Despite this, I’m still concerned about stability. What could be the main issue here?
Visit C:\Windows\Minidump to see if any minidump files exist. If present, return to the Windows directory and transfer the Minidump folder to the Downloads folder (use your desktop if needed).
