The original motherboard might require a BIOS update to work properly with the 5600X.

The system indeed includes a GPU, thanks for bringing it up. Sorry about the oversight!

It's an MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX board, and the only visible indicator is the DRAM light active.

Based on the bios version it has, an update might be necessary before posting at 5600x. It's also possible the CPU could be DOP.

I'm refreshing the information right now to verify the details. I updated it last year, but I'm unsure whether this version includes the 5000 series improvements. I'll compare my current BIOS version with that update.

If the issue persists after the update, it likely points to a DAA CPU. Replacing or exchanging it would be the best course of action.

The update you performed was done before the version with 5000 support, meaning the CPU should still be fine. To confirm the motherboard isn’t faulty, check its status using manufacturer tools or diagnostic software.

Only by checking a reliable CPU can we determine the problem. The 5600X seems to fail with both the new and the older working motherboards, suggesting the issue might be with the CPU itself.
