I’m having trouble with Napoleon Total War. I just got it from Steam and it’s the standard version without any extra content. Once the opening screens appear like in Saga or Creative Assembly, the screen goes black and no signal shows up. The computer still runs, so it’s not a power issue. I can only perform a hard reset of my PC because it won’t respond to other inputs. I’ve attached the DxDiag file for reference. I’ve tried cleaning the graphics drivers, resetting the PC, and even booting it as an administrator, but nothing works. If you need help, please let me know. DxDiag.txt
Adjusting the resolution settings in the Radeon driver might affect performance, but it won't necessarily change the overall display resolution.
It seems the issue isn't about the version itself but rather how it's being handled. The fact that NTW is running in 32-bit mode might be relevant depending on your system requirements or compatibility needs.
It appears Napoleon Total War doesn’t work well on systems newer than Windows 7. Many attempts to fix this issue have been discussed, but if you’re facing problems, it might be best to cancel before hitting the two-hour limit. Steam is generally helpful with refunds, though they can’t promise support for anything beyond their usual policies.
