People are removing Windows after setting up Linux, which might be the biggest error they make. When trying to create extra space on their 1 TB hard drive, the system behaves strangely—Windows boots but doesn’t work well, and pressing F12 to boot into Linux shows errors before switching back.

The partition is being utilized by the operating system, so reducing its size isn't possible. You must start a live setup and erase the drive from there.

I hope you can find an install disk or another method to reinstall Windows. GParted -- discover how to use it. https://gparted.org/. It seems to be the most straightforward option for your needs. Keep in mind -- "Linux expects the user to understand precisely what they're doing."

Silent, Linux isn't related to Skynet or Genesys, and we're all just starting out.
