The issue is resolved.
for some reason certain sites like reddit, quora, twitter, facebook, vimeo, my anime list and other forum-style platforms plus some adult sites began behaving oddly. (I’d prefer to mention them here if you want, but they’re not illegal nor extreme—it’s just keeping this topic fresh). Reddit and Quora often fail to load or take 10-15 minutes; most of the site just loads a tiny part and stops. I assumed it was because of problems on Reddit or Twitter, but it turns out that’s not the issue. How can I access the internet? I have two ISPs (let’s call them A and B). On my PC I use the internet via USB from my phone using a THERMO. ISP-A works perfectly—websites load smoothly on both PC and phone, no hiccups, though it caps at 2 GB per day. ISP-B loads all sites fine on the phone but not on the PC; I tested Linux and Windows 10 and got the same results. It doesn’t matter which browser I use (Chrome, Chromium, Opera, Firefox) or whether I’m on a different OS. But I can’t use any proxy, and even after restarting, it still doesn’t work.
Searching via Google and Yandex is smooth, but DuckDuckGo loads in 5–10 minutes only on PC using ISP-B.
Have you explored alternatives like Cloudflare or Google's DNS servers when using ISP-B?
Because of this problem I attempted those steps and the outcomes stayed the same. That’s why I’m finally here! I reset everything, deleted it, and now I don’t rely on any DNS—it’s set up automatically. Recently I finished watching Rick and Morty, and when I see your profile picture it reminds me of Mr. Meeseeks.
Are you certain your cellular provider isn't restricting your connected data? How much data do you typically use each month? What terms in your contract with the ISP define tethered data handling? Some mobile carriers may restrict activities when they sense usage while linked to another device.
Absolutely, everything seems to be functioning smoothly on my end. The issue appears to be limited to certain websites and my personal PC only. Other devices work perfectly. I’ve been using around 4 GB daily, and the leftover data from the week rolls over to the weekend—meaning extra data accumulates on Saturday and Sunday. That’s a smart approach, but unfortunately, I spent 25 GB downloading Genshin Impact in just three hours. It might be slower for others, though it works quickly for me. This week has ended, and I’ve been testing several Linux isos with about 12-14 GB downloaded last week via torrenting. I’m not keen on putting stress on their servers. Do you know of any alternative methods besides DNS flushing? Also, thanks for your response!
I still want your thoughts or advice. If you don’t trust me, that’s fine. When I looked for an adblocker, I found some options but noticed that uBlock Origin never gets disabled (I read those articles and was worried it might happen to me). Unfortunately, it did even when JavaScript was enabled.
