Hello everyone,

I’m seeking a new desktop computer configuration with a budget of approximately ₹50,000 (or potentially up to ₹55,000). My intention is primarily for gaming and some light streaming.

Previously, I utilized an AMD FX 4300 Quad Core processor, but I experienced significant problems with my system, including persistent lag, frame rate fluctuations, overheating, Windows instability, and various other issues.

Currently, AMD processors generally outperform Intel in terms of performance. Therefore, I would appreciate any recommendations for suitable PC specifications considering both Intel and AMD options within my budget.

Given your financial constraints, Intel isn't a strong choice because you’d be restricted to just six cores, which is frequently inadequate for gaming performance, particularly with demanding titles. However, considering your budget and longevity needs, an AMD processor with six cores and twelve threads would be a superior selection.

Below is a suggested component list obtained from PCPartPicker:

CPU:
AMD Ryzen 5 2600 – 3.4 GHz, 6-Core Processor (₹11349.00 @ Amazon India)
Motherboard:
Gigabyte B450M DS3H Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard (₹6300.00 @ Amazon India)
Memory:
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000
(₹7992.00 @ Amazon India)
Storage:
Crucial MX500 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (₹5795.00 @ Amazon India)
Video Card:
MSI Radeon RX…

Given your streaming needs and financial constraints, it would be unwise to consider Intel at this time, as AMD presently offers a superior value for money.

Thank you for your assistance. Could you recommend a motherboard from Gigabyte, as I've found their products to be reliable and high-performing? I’m seeking a board with four RAM slots. Please forgive my imperfect English.

My streaming schedule is flexible and I’m not fully committed to it. My primary goal is to create a robust gaming setup for upcoming titles, allowing me to play future games at optimal settings without needing to replace my computer hardware.

Considering your budget, Intel processors would only provide you with 6 cores, which currently appears somewhat inadequate for demanding gaming experiences depending on the titles you play. However, if longevity and performance are priorities, an AMD system featuring 6 cores and 12 threads would be a more suitable choice.

Here’s a suggested configuration:

CPU:
AMD Ryzen 5 2600 – 3.4 GHz Processor (6 Cores) - ₹11349.00 @ Amazon India
Motherboard:
Gigabyte B450M DS3H Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard - ₹6300.00 @ Amazon India
Memory:
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 - ₹7992.00 @ Amazon India
Storage:
Crucial MX500 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive - ₹5795.00 @ Amazon India
Video Card:
MSI Radeon RX 580 8 GB ARMOR OC Video Card – ₹15000.00 @ Amazon India
Case:
Antec GX202 ATX Mid Tower Case - ₹2889.00 @ Amazon India
Power Supply:
Corsair CX (2017) 550 W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply - ₹5499.00 @ Amazon India

Total: ₹54824.00 (Prices include shipping, taxes and discounts)

Alternatively, if you strongly prefer Intel, this setup would function adequately but would be outperformed by an AMD system due to a more powerful graphics card.

CPU:
Intel Core i5-9400F 2.9 GHz Processor (6 Cores) – ₹13399.00 @ Amazon India
Motherboard:
Gigabyte B365M DS3H Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard – ₹7850.00 @ Amazon India
Memory:
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-2400 – ₹5510.00 @ Amazon India
Storage:
Crucial MX500 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive – ₹5795.00 @ Amazon India
Video Card:
Gigabyte Radeon RX 570 4 GB Gaming – ₹12200.00 @ Amazon India
Case:
Antec GX202 ATX Mid Tower Case – ₹2889.00 @ Amazon India
Power Supply:
Corsair CX (2017) 550 W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply – ₹5499.00 @ Amazon India

Total: ₹53142.00 (Prices include shipping, taxes and discounts)
