I've been experiencing more frequent stuttering across all games lately—not just the ones that usually have some lag, like Far Cry 5, but also simpler titles such as Ni No Kuni 2 and Tower of Time. It doesn't depend on adjusting my graphics settings; it's always present. I've observed that the issue appears only during loading phases, like when moving through areas, rather than while in motion. I've tried almost every solution available: turning off Xbox DVR, stopping startup programs, testing on another GPU, disabling overclocks and reverting to defaults, reinstalling Windows, cleaning internal components, resetting storage, defragging, limiting FPS, toggling Gsync, and tweaking nearly all settings in the NVIDIA control panel. Still nothing resolved it. I plan to share some graphs later to illustrate what's happening.
Latest updates for all devices? Current Nvdia interface release? Verified PCIe port on the mainboard? Required BIOS upgrade?
Are the games downloading from the hard drive? This could be making them load slowly and cause some lag.
Thank you for the suggestion, but unfortunately yes. Also, appreciate your feedback.
i experienced some temperature fluctuations in my new apartment, with my gpu briefly reaching around 90 degrees for a short time. when i noticed this, i immediately stopped the game and changed my airflow and fan settings. this didn’t seem to be related since another gpu behaved similarly during troubleshooting and never exceeded 70 degrees.
Begin by verifying the temperatures of every component and reset BIOs to stock. Then assess whether a standby memory problem might be causing stutters.
