I've invested several hours setting up a dual-boot setup and spent around $25 on a thumb drive to make it work. Right now I'm using Ubuntu and attempting to install Windows 10 on an extra partition. The main problem is I only have one drive, which makes creating a new partition difficult. I'm trying to run Windows on the USB drive, but the ISO won't copy because of the permission error: "Permission denied" when I see the message about the file not opening. I'm exhausted from dealing with these issues and searching for fixes. Anyone have any advice?

You're welcome! Just remember to adjust permissions with 'chmod 777' when testing.

Thanks, I'll keep this in mind for when it occurs again!

This passage offers useful insights into the command you're interested in. Running it on Linux will modify file access rights. Adjusting permissions with chmod 777 grants full access to everyone.
