Hey everyone! This summer I've faced some internet issues. When I try to download something or just browse, the connection drops suddenly. For example, if I download a game on Steam, the internet goes down and comes back after about a minute before failing again. Also, when I watch YouTube while playing a game, the connection cuts out too. Could it be related to the cable, my antivirus software, or something with the hardware? Thanks for your help!

We need much more details to start identifying the issue. Which modem are you using? Do you have a separate router? Are there any other network devices present? How recent is this equipment? How is your computer connected—cable or Wi-Fi? What type of network card or wireless adapter do you have? Once you provide this information, we can better assess the problem.

It's worth noting that if disconnections occur only during heavy internet use, your modem or router might be overheating from the extra load of long or fast downloads. Even if it functioned normally before, components can degrade over time, so knowing the age and models of your hardware is important.
