Screenshots fall short of capturing the full picture. Matanuska Telephone Association https://www.mtasolutions.com/residential...net/#step1 offers a typical local ISP for comparison. GCI https://www.gci.com/internet#plans provides different options. The first service even mentions they don’t share precise speeds—just claim it’s “optimized for multiple users.” I’ve heard someone living in a quieter area who shares their connection with a neighbor; they receive about 100mbps, while the neighbor only gets around 40mbps, and they push a branded router promising “VPN wifi,” “device security,” or “wall-to-wall Wi-Fi.”

It's odd because paying extra for a dedicated line is meant to ensure fast service. If they don’t specify the speed, there’s no real benefit.

If I were representing my ID, I’d file an FCC complaint. That would definitely push them to act. They only have three days to respond.
