I browse the web easily on sites like Google, Twitch, Twitter, YouTube and others. But when I visit Steam and click the store page, I encounter an error labeled Error Code: -138. I restarted my PC and router, yet the issue persists. I can't play any online games, and anything I open besides Twitch and Google leads to offline mode—I don’t know why and no one helps?

I hold a few ideas but that covers everything. If you're facing problems with apps, it might be a corrupted setup of Edge or Internet Explorer, since tools like the Steam launcher rely on those browsers for internet access due to their strong integration with modern Windows. Theory B suggests that your ISP's DNS settings could be the issue; trying Cloudflare's DNS Server (1.1.1.1) might help. Theory C indicates that your antivirus might have been affected by its latest update.

Restart the router if needed. If this has happened more than a couple of days, reach out to your ISP to see if there have been any changes.
