You connect the Wi-Fi adapter and it begins sharing without any options.
I've tested a Raspberry Pi and found it works fine to share Wi-Fi with it. It seems the issue might be on a Windows device instead.
I mean to suggest using DHCP instead. Avoid assigning a static IP address. I was wondering if this was your intention since a static IP could be one reason why Windows isn't connecting properly. If you connect it, does the device detect a network presence? Does the port gather an IP address?
I turned off Ethernet 4 and the feature is no longer available at all.
