Have you attempted simply connecting your router to the port and testing functionality? Or does it need authentication? If it’s billed, using it might be worthwhile—probably the best option is to get your own once the current provider leaves. I understand it seems unnecessary, but if it’s part of your property, you should be allowed to terminate any existing service, even if it isn’t yours.
