I was usually achieving speeds around 2.5MB/s on Steam downloads, but recently that has dropped to 1.5MB/s. The current download rate is about 600KB/s. After the new R6S update, it took roughly 12 hours to download 12/37GB. It’s frustrating because if it had been closer to 2.5MB/s, it would have finished sooner. My Chrome browsing feels much slower too—pages now take 4-5 seconds to load compared to a second before. I don’t have an Ethernet connection, and I’ve never used one since my TV and Android box need it in the living room. I could easily buy a longer Ethernet cable and install it in the wall, but that would be a bit of a project. Ideas? Thanks.

Check if it's a DSL connection and share your wired speed test results.

It seems your PC uses a PCIe Wi-Fi card without an Ethernet connection.

It would also work well if you wish to perform a brief speed test.

It appears the situation is deteriorating. The download speed has dropped to five, and uploads are not functioning properly. I also want to mention that the router has two Ethernet cables connected, with one device—the TV—operating continuously throughout the day.

Yes, it appears to be a top-tier fiber connection. Could you confirm whether the cable or fiber type matches yours and if your current plan aligns with that speed?

I didn't mention any cables at all. I'm a bit unclear on what you meant.

I'm referring to the kind of internet connection you have—specifically fiber, cable, or DSL. The purpose is to address issues in a way that matches each service type.

Can you check if there’s a method to determine your type?...I’m not sure at all.
