I've signed up for 100 Mbps, but the connection isn't working well. My games run smoothly with low latency, but when I use other apps it suddenly spikes to 200 or more pings and then drops to 1000 before returning. It's making gaming frustrating.

I connect with a wireless extender from Tplink and still experience spikes even when nothing is active except the game.

Is this a new issue, or an ongoing one with the same service?

The issue began when individuals decided to stay at home during the quarantine.

It's actually quite typical. The internet service provider has a limited capacity for data transmission, which you also share with others in your area. When many people are connected simultaneously, your connection speed can decrease slightly. I've also heard that upgrading to a premium data plan might give you more bandwidth, though I'm not sure if that's accurate.

The file transfers appear to function as expected.
