Even while in BIOS, the system shows a motherboard temperature of 43°C and the CPU at 91°C. What’s your usual room or ambient temperature lately? When was the last time you maintained your setup—cleaned or dusted it? It seems quite dusty. Which case or chassis are you using, and how is the fan configuration? Voltages appear normal. The BIOS version looks fine. The thermal paste appears evenly spread. Be sure to remove the old paste and apply a fresh layer before reinstalling the CPU cooler.
Didn't adjust the cooler properly, 99% certainty. Just because paste was applied as directed doesn't guarantee solid contact. TIM isn't great, but it shouldn't hit 90°C in bios even with a decent cooler. I have a couple of older 8th generation units that haven't been replaced, they're working fine. One is an 8700 and the other an 8350k.
I reside in India where temperatures are quite high, around 34°C outside but about 25°C inside with the AC running. My motherboard seems a bit dusty, though I cleaned the fans, radiator, and other components; however, I couldn't get close to the VRM area when the cooler was placed, leaving it dusty. My case is a Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-04 Mid-Tower Gaming Case. The CPU cooler is top-mounted and draws fresh air from outside. I've cleaned the processor twice and replaced the two coolers, but temperatures haven't improved.
I see your concern, but delidding can be intimidating. Since you're in India and don't have access to the necessary tools, it might not be practical. Spending money on a tool that costs $45 plus shipping could be a waste if you can't actually use it. You could try disassembling the CPU without specialized equipment—just check online guides or forums for step-by-step instructions.
