I suggest the Ryzen 9 3900X in general. The Intel Core i9 10900K offers slightly better single-threaded speed, but Ryzen still leads in multi-threaded tasks. With a dedicated graphics card, OBS runs smoothly without much CPU strain; if you lack one or prefer CPU-based codecs, the 10900K is the better choice. The Ryzen 9 3900X uses a smaller 7nm process, consuming less power and generating less heat, and it provides two extra cores plus four more threads—making it a stronger value and more future-proof option. Unless you have a top-tier graphics setup, you won’t notice a big difference in frame rates compared to the 10900K.
