I employ a wired earphone equipped with a microphone. It functions well during calls or video conferences. However, in games such as CS2 it fails to recognize the mic and prevents voice chat from being heard. Switching to another earphone or headset with a proper external mic resolves the issue. Is there any method to enable the built-in mic in games? I prefer its superior audio quality and comfortable fit.

Did you verify the microphone settings in Windows? (Settings > System > Sound > Input) For a USB headphone, you should see the brand/model name there; otherwise, it depends on your drivers—typically Realtek or similar. You probably don’t have many built-in options.

It's a 3.5mm jack with an internal microphone. The external one uses USB. In the system settings, your microphone isn't showing up. You recently reinstalled Windows 10, but before that it worked. I don't know why it's not detecting now.

I don’t have the ability to take or display screenshots. However, you can check the available inputs by opening the Device Manager in Windows 10 and reviewing the list of detected devices. For detailed information about drivers, including chipset and audio settings, you can also visit the manufacturer’s website or use built-in tools like Device Manager and System Information.

It looks like the default drivers you installed aren't working properly. Check if your Windows recognizes any audio sources at all.

Sure, I'll help clarify that. The audio icon near the time and date bar should open its settings. Look for the "Open Audio Settings" option, then navigate to "Input." The dropdown will list available devices—check what's currently selected. If unsure, you can also try selecting a different device from the list to see which one works best.

Looking for Mediatek and Realtek audio support. I searched for UiiSii drivers but didn’t locate any downloads.

Identify the PC or laptop brand and model you're using. Ensure you download the correct audio drivers directly from the manufacturer's website, as generic options won't work. USB devices require specific drivers, while analog headsets need conversion via a mini audio card.

I've saved them, yet the issue remains. Also, the motherboard uses identical Realtek and Mediatek drivers.
