Set up your Windows installation by placing your SATA controller in the setup wizard. On the screen that asks which drive to install, select "load drivers," insert your motherboard disk, and then load the SATA controller drivers. After completing these steps, choose your desired drive and the process should finish smoothly.
Maybe there are more serious issues than just failing to set up Windows.
The installation is currently stored in your RAM. It will likely need to access the disk during startup. After choosing drivers from your motherboard's storage, replace the Windows disk. Remember, the setup should not run executables but should point to the *.inf SATA controller drivers. It will automatically search through folders and subfolders to find the correct ones.
You've placed your motherboard disk and chosen the SATA controller drivers for your HDD/SSD. Windows should install them smoothly. After completion, remove the motherboard disk and insert your Windows disk. Once Windows is running, locate the drive partition and delete it (make sure to click "Advanced" first if needed). If a recovery partition (~100MB) appears, remove that as well. You should now see one partition listed. Click on it and select "New," then proceed to the next step. If you need clarification, feel free to share a screenshot of your setup.
