Hello, I'm assisting a friend with assembling a PC. At the Windows installation stage, it freezes during the setup launch. This issue occurred even with Windows 7.

Have you considered giving it a bit more time? It might just require some patience. If not, it could indicate a faulty drive or installation disc.

We spent an entire day waiting. We also attempted to install Windows 7 using a USB drive.

Verify your BIOS settings are normal, including AHCI and related configurations, since some adjustments might conflict with the Windows installer.
