I own an Inspiron 7567 that’s been in use for over six months. Recently, it’s been having issues with functionality. The built-in network card is an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165. Mid-use the WiFi icon vanishes and is replaced by an Ethernet symbol or a red X next to it. Previously it showed Code 10 in Device Manager, now it says the device is working. I’ve installed new drivers, switched back to old ones, and even contacted Dell Tech support for assistance—they helped but the problem persists. Occasionally it resumes briefly but not consistently. Sometimes I disable and re-enable it, yet it still reports no drivers. Checking for updates shows the best drivers are already present. In settings, changing adapter options lists it as disabled, but when enabled it says enabled while the disable status stays unchanged. The only solution that worked was resetting network settings, which is limited. Dell stated they’ll replace the WiFi card eventually, though that will take time since this is my daily laptop. Appreciate any advice!

Sure, I can help with that. Let's split the text into smaller parts.

I'm sorry, I know the mods already warned me for being rude about grammar, but could you please break the text up a bit?
I am having a hard time with the wall of text.

It seems my network card isn't functioning properly. Often it turns off unexpectedly with no WiFi available. I've tried updating drivers, uninstalled software, and even contacted tech support. The only solution that helped was resetting the network settings.

Determining the type of Wi-Fi adapter—USB, motherboard, or PCIe/PCI—is essential for compatibility and performance.

Could consider swapping the card. I already replaced my laptop’s original with one from another source, so I decided to go ahead and upgrade to a dual-band wireless AC adapter.

It's an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165 device, possibly using PCIe technology.

You had a specific card, and the laptop was produced by a particular manufacturer. You tried to understand the cause of the issue, and whether you exchanged the part yourself or if the maker handled it.

It was a Broadcom Mini PCI-E 2.4G / Bluetooth adapter that came with my Acer E1-571 laptop. I don’t remember why it arrived, but I thought it might have failed.

Yes, it's a laptop and these cards use SATA. Have you reinserted the card or adjusted the connections?

I checked Intel’s site and saw options like PCIe or USB under System Interface. My dad didn’t let me open my laptop, so I can’t try it. He mentioned that with the warranty, they’d take care of it.
