Keeping encountering this in the viewer seems odd but not harmful. Is it normal? Sometimes the mouse freezes when launching many programs at once, or when playing games nonstop. There was a case where Discord froze briefly after switching tabs, and another where a game crash happened during alt-enter. Have you updated your GPU drivers recently? Using DDU and updating helped in one situation, but not all. The issue seems linked to opening/closing certain apps like FIFA 23 or Code Master. A Reddit user suggested it might point to GPU problems, but their experience didn’t match yours. No crashes after a long session, but occasional freezes. It’s probably harmless unless it keeps happening. Consider checking your drivers and system stability.

I've noticed comparable issues when a virtual machine competes for GPU resources. It hasn't caused any problems for me.

I suspect the problem relates to the newest Nvidia drivers. I experienced the same issues last night while using Windows, after installing the updated drivers. My PC had been built about ten days prior and initially ran smoothly with the 531.18 version. After switching to the newer 531.29 drivers on Monday, it worked fine for a few hours on Tuesday. Yesterday, within minutes of each other, I encountered two errors in the Event Viewer. Many users on Nvidia forums have reported similar problems following the driver update. I recently reinstalled the latest (531.29) drivers and haven’t seen these errors again, though it’s still early to confirm a resolution. Are you using a 30/40 series card with DDR5 memory?
