I run this game at a 720p resolution and on a low setting. In single player, it lags and ceases to function due to memory problems. Increasing my RAM should allow me to play it in multiplayer at 30-40 frames per second without freezing, but I’m not completely confident. Game Debate claims it won't work because my hardware doesn't meet the minimum specifications, however, I experienced 30-40fps in single player and found that playable despite the occasional freezes, which I haven’t tried with multiplayer yet. Yes, these freezing issues will resolve themselves. This is undoubtedly a problem stemming from inadequate RAM.

Thank you very much for your response; it seems that I can now play Battlefield 1 multiplayer with up to 64 players on my low-powered laptop, achieving roughly 30-40 frames per second. XD

Thank you for your response, but it appears that playing Battlefield 1 multiplayer with up to 64 players on a laptop with modest specifications – approximately 30-40 frames per second – is likely not feasible. Honestly, the game doesn't simply halt entirely. I’ve witnessed even mid-to-high performance desktops struggling to maintain frame rates in the 30s while playing this title. Even CPUs equipped with four cores and four threads of an i5 processor encountered difficulties rendering Battlefield 1 in multiplayer. Are you planning to invest in new hardware solely for the purpose of playing this game? I believe you'll find that the performance won’t align with your expectations. In my opinion, it isn't a worthwhile investment. Apologies for delivering disappointing news, but maintaining a realistic perspective could prevent unnecessary expenditure on an ultimately unproductive purchase.

So what fps i can get then.. Try to be accurate and if you can search for anything search please I am new here so I don't know shit XD and yes try to be realistic because I don't want someone just says yes or no with no reason
I would use this for many games like gta5 and R6S and star wars battlefront to improve their performance but the worst game I played in performance was bf1 so if I could increase its performance by upgrading ram then it would work for All XD

Regarding frame rates, what should I anticipate? Please aim for precision and if possible, conduct some research. As a beginner, I’m unfamiliar with this system, so I'd appreciate thorough explanations rather than simple affirmations or denials without justification.

I intend to use this primarily with games such as GTA 5, Rainbow Six Siege, and Star Wars Battlefront to enhance their performance. However, my most disappointing experience in terms of visual quality was with Battlefield 1. If upgrading my memory would improve its graphics, it could potentially benefit all of my games.

Although I anticipate a boost in frames per second, an exact figure is not attainable.

You can certainly install additional RAM. However, caution is advised when taking apart a laptop—damage is possible. Several ribbon cables require careful handling; incorrectly removing panels can damage the connectors holding these ribbons in place. It’s essential to understand the process completely before attempting any modifications. A knowledgeable technician can make a complex task seem straightforward, provided you possess the necessary expertise.

I’m not going to handle it myself; I'll simply visit Asus or a reputable computer retailer and have them complete the modifications. That way, I can anticipate it will perform well in online games after an upgrade—though I apologize, but my finances are limited and I prefer not to spend unnecessarily.

EGY_HAWK:

I recently installed Battlefield 1 and experienced performance issues while using only 4GB of RAM, achieving frame rates between 30-40fps on low settings in singleplayer and encountering frequent freezes and significant drops. My laptop is an older, basic model unsuitable for demanding games like this—I’m considering adding another 8GB of RAM to my existing configuration, which would result in a total of 12GB. Do you think this upgrade will improve my frame rates?

Here’s a breakdown of my system:

i3 4030u
GT 840m (overclocked)
4GB RAM
I've seen numerous videos demonstrating good performance with 8GB of RAM, particularly when paired with an i5-4200u processor, which is roughly equivalent to my i3. I'm hoping to achieve at least 30fps in 64-player maps after upgrading my RAM. I’m on a tight budget, and gaming PCs are often costly investments.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Minimum System Requirements:

Operating System: 64-bit Windows 7, 8.1, or 10
Processor: AMD FX-6350 / Intel Core i5 6600K
Memory: 8GB RAM
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 7850 (2GB) / Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 (2GB)
DirectX: Compatible video card with DirectX 11.0 or equivalent

These are the minimum specifications needed to run Battlefield 1 successfully. It’s important to note that RAM isn't the sole factor determining performance, and optimizing other components is also necessary. Furthermore, having two separate 4GB RAM modules offers better stability and performance than a single 8GB module.

I recently purchased Battlefield 1 and experienced performance issues while using only 4GB of RAM, achieving frame rates between 30-40 fps on low settings in single-player mode. The game frequently freezes and experiences significant frame drops due to my laptop's memory usage consistently reaching 98%. My device is an older, basic laptop not designed for demanding modern games. I’m planning to add another 8GB of RAM, increasing my total memory capacity to 12GB. Will this upgrade noticeably improve my frame rates?

My system specifications are as follows:

* Processor: Intel Core i3 4030U
* Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GT 840M (overclocked)
* Memory: 4GB RAM
* I’ve observed videos demonstrating smooth gameplay with 8GB of RAM using similar hardware to mine, particularly with an Intel Core i5-4200U processor which is roughly equivalent in performance to my i3.

I am hoping to achieve at least 30 fps on a multiplayer map with 64 players once I upgrade my RAM. My budget is limited, and purchasing a dedicated gaming PC is currently unaffordable.

I’m seeking advice from anyone who can offer guidance.

Notably, RAM isn't the sole determining factor; investing in other components is also important, and Battlefield 1’s optimization could be improved. Additionally, having two separate 4GB RAM modules is generally more beneficial than one single 8GB module due to improved stability and potentially faster performance.

However, I am considering this setup is a laptop - upgrades are somewhat constrained in these devices.

I’ve mentioned that I’m working with a limited budget, and the most affordable gaming laptop is currently priced at $2000. Therefore, my only realistic option is to enhance the RAM. The single-player game performs adequately on my current system, although it occasionally experiences pauses due to memory limitations. If I upgrade the RAM, I anticipate a noticeable increase in frames per second – approximately 5-8 fps – and the freezing issues should disappear. For single-player games, I'm confident it will operate exceptionally well. My primary concern is multiplayer; I require at least 30 fps to make it a playable experience for me. I’m presently downloading the game, and it's already 70% complete, so at this point I can only enjoy the single-player mode. XD It cannot run it.
