A premium setup should launch quickly in some scenarios, yet lag may appear in others. Light browsing, YouTube, Rocket League, and Rockstar titles work well, together with a few classic games like Company of Heroes 2 (modded) and CIV V (also modded). Cyberpunk 2077 tends to freeze soon, especially with the Nomad approach during the Arasaka checkpoint ambush. Witcher 3 struggles to progress through combat tutorials. Game crashes usually affect the game itself, not the PC, though I’ve seen similar problems with certain Ubisoft titles, which I thought were due to age rather than compatibility. Full specs i9-12900K ASUS Prime Z690-P WiFi G are in use. Skill runs smoothly with 2x Samsung 980ssds, a Corsair 150x AIO watercooler, and a Corsair airflow 4000 case, paired with a 1000W PSW on Windows 10. All drivers are up to date as of today, March 30, 2023.

Hello! Could you clarify what you mean by "crashing"? Are you talking about a BSOD or a full system shutdown? If it's a BSOD, please show us the error code and describe what happens when it occurs. If you're unsure, let me know so I can assist better.

Game crashed unexpectedly, yet the Windows interface stayed intact. So far I haven’t received any error message, since most times the in-game error dialog appears but this issue keeps happening. The UBI titles usually need a force restart, but Cyberpunk has been more forgiving so far.

Which GPU are you using? That detail isn't mentioned here. No need to judge, but are you pushing the overclock limit? Most games don't like that and may act differently.

The title clearly mentions the GPU, specifically a 7900X.

And Games are fine with overclocking, even if the person was overclocking, Windows would also crash. The game is only crashing so the gpu clocks and whatnot are fine.

It's common knowledge that numerous games, particularly those with anti-cheat systems like Battleye and EAC, often experience crashes when overclocked. The OP is seeking guidance from others and sharing their advice. To the OP: kindly attempt to play the games without boosting any part of your PC, and observe whether they still crash.

No, there are no undervolt settings for the CPU or GPU.

Looking for information on a 1000W PSU model, specifically the 7900XTX. I noticed some problems with your 7900XT; verify if the PCI-e slot seating is correct. Ensure your RAM remains stable. Try booting in auto mode without XMP enabled in BIOS to rule out that as the cause. Investigate potential driver issues by using DDU in safe mode, disabling Windows driver installation within its options. After starting in safe mode, perform a clean install and shutdown to address any GPU installation concerns.
