For gaming? A dedicated GPU is always superior, but unless you can snag both at a very low price, I wouldn't bother purchasing them.

The 1050 Ti is likely 4 to 5 times quicker than the 7700K's iGPU (UHD 630). The game would remain playable, but using a dGPU would give you a smoother experience.

older intel igpus tend to be weak, but a 1050ti performs much better and lets you run many games smoothly. compared to a 7th generation intel igpu, newer titles work well even at low settings. it's still a budget machine for $250, but you'll get a much better experience than with an older model.
