so i'm running at 4.7ghz with 1.2v, it's quite stable even with stock voltage. i've done this test multiple times from standard to max speed, but temperatures still seem too high. when using prime95 it can go up to 80c sometimes reaching 85c in an hour. during an intel burn test, one core hit a maximum of 94c. is this normal for me? since i'm using a corsair h60 cooler and at idle it stays between 29c and 40c. when playing games, my temps only reach about 60c max. sometimes it drops to 50c if the game isn't CPU heavy.

I believe your CPU cooling is adequate according to the idle and gaming temperatures.
Avoid running overly demanding stress tests and you should be okay.
😉

dudio :
my cpu cooling looks okay from the idle and gaming temperatures.
avoid extreme stress tests and you should be alright
😉
thanks. i'll check for blue screens then i might reduce the frequency. my chipset is h97, so i can't increase voltage beyond 1.2v.
