I understand the challenges with bottlenecks. In my initial setup, I used an Intel Core i5 9400f with a GTX 1650, which performed well. My brother upgraded and gave me his older motherboard, but it didn’t support the 9400f’s chipset and BIOS. I switched to his 7600k for compatibility, and performance differences were minimal. Now, with an RTX 2080ti, I’m experiencing bottlenecks—CPU at full load while GPU is only 30%. This is noticeable given the card’s power. I’m considering whether a Core i5 9400f or 7600k would be a better fit before replacing the motherboard. TLDR: For an RTX 2080ti, a Core i5 9400f or 7600k would likely cause less severe bottlenecks.

The 7600k could offer better single-threaded speed after extensive tuning, but the 9400f is likely to outperform it in multi-threading scenarios thanks to its additional cores. It will consistently surpass any stock 7600k across various applications.

It varies by game. For newer titles, the 9400f performs better. In older games, particularly when you customize, the 7600K might be preferable.

Thanks! I pushed it to 4.9 ghz but results stayed similar. I’ll change them later!
