My rig doesn't seem to handle overclocking well.
I'm using a Maximus Hero Vii card with the tuning wizard attempting to boost my CPU beyond the 3.9 Gtz turbo. Even with the box cooler, I get a 25% boost for the GPU and about 20% for RAM. This leads to crashes when starting up.
My system runs an Intel i5 4690k, has a Hero motherboard, 8GB of 1600 MB DDR3 RAM.
Is this too much for my CPU?
Overclocking must always be carried out gradually... adjustments of .1 for performance and .01 for voltages.
Set the default and begin more slowly...
