With XMP profile 2, stable performance is achievable at 4000 MHz (assuming that confirms the speed). Profile 1 runs at 4600 MHz and causes CPU issues, preventing booting even into BIOS. It seems I wasn’t misled—I might have been sold a memory that didn’t match the specs. My Corsair Dominator 3200 MHz should have worked in this setup too.

I just need to boost the memory voltage slightly. I set my 4266 kit to XMP at 1.4450v. Intel says up to 1.50v is fine. When I go overclock past XMP, it hits 1.610v. Right now I'm testing two different configurations for 4000mhz CL19-19-19 at 1.510v—both from my own builds. The 3600mhz units are already overclocked to 400mhz. Keep pushing, you still have a lot of MHz left. By the way, it's DDR double data rate, so 4000mhz equals 2000mhz effective.
